i wanted to make a page for stories i wrote a while ago when inspiration hit me, ever since i was 10 i've liked writing stories especially because in class we had to write a story for a competition ( i didnt win anything but still i had fun writing). Ever since i always loved writing even though i don't do it often but sometimes something pops into my brain and i just start writing!! but yeah, i hope you enjoy :3
As I grab a paper from the box while I’m standing on my biggest stage yet with the most fans, I feel scared. I know if I mess up my whole career that I just started could be gone in seconds. But still, this is what I promised to the fans of my own country, the Netherlands.
So, still. I grab a paper from the little brown box and read it out to the crowd. “And it says… do the pepero game, with some your friends in the crowd!” as I realise what I just read the staff is already getting 3 of my friends from their seats on stage.
I checked with them if they were okay with it and they said yes, luckily or else I’d have to rearrange almost everything I planned for this show.
I tale a deep breath wile seeing my friends Cassidy, Val and Charlie. Since Val only knows me and not the others we agreed beforehand that we’d do the challenges together. I grab the box of pepero and welcome them on stage. “Welcome, welcome!! Okay guys here are your microphones, and do you wannda introduce yourself?” I say as I give them the microphones“Yes, okay. Hi guys, I’m Cassidy a friend of lynx here,” they point at me. “And I am nonbinary, so if you could use they/them pronouns it would be really nice.” They smile and point at Charlie to introduce himself.
“Hi guys!! I’m Charlie, I’m genderfluid and, any pronouns are fine really. And I am of course also a friend of Lynx.” And then he points to Val to introduce herself.
“hi guys!! I’m val, and I am, kinda fucking nervous right now uhm,” she chuckles nervously and I look at her reassuring her that it’ll be fine. “I use she/her pronouns, and I think that’s it!”
“Okay guys, lets go! So, the rules of the game; 1. There are 2 teams, me and jinte and Cassidy+Charlie. 2. There are two rounds for each team where, per round, one of the two bites to the other one and the 2nd round it switches. 3. After every round we will see how long the remaining pepero stick is and the team with the shortest stick wins!”
I take a breath, hoping that it’ll all go by soon, or, maybe not. I’d want to stay in the moment with her. But that’d be awkward. Oh, shut up me, you have a crowd of people waiting for you get it together. “Everyone ready? I’ll spin the weel okay?” while I’m spinning the wheel to decide who’ll go first, I pray it’s not my team, but to my luck it says. “Lynx and Val!” Charlie, with his naturally charming look and voice, captures the audiences attention immediately and says it before I can even realize what’s going on.
Val immediately grabs a pepero stick and puts it in between her teeth, teasing. It's kind of like she wants it... no, shut up, she's straight. But then she comes closer, and I hesitantly move forward while knowing, I can’t go in fully, cause well... I don’t know maybe we’re being watched by hundreds of people. But I so, so want to.
I move biting the stick and slowly move forward closer to her face while turning my head. She smiles, and in the back, I see the others smiling too and, oh shit. I realize I’m not moving slowly, at all. As the fans are screaming out of excitement, I feel my face becoming hot and red. And just before our lips touch, I let go.
“aw... such a shame.” Charlie says while Cassidy chuckels. “I was enjoying the show” they say and pout teasing me and Val. “oh come on,” I say, “that was nothing, I’m here to win.” “Yeah right” he says again. “I guess we’re up next huh?” he goes and grabs a pepero stick from the box and playfully puts it in cassidys mouth, well I don’t know if you can call it playful, it’s more… friendly forceful, if that makes sense. I try to look interested in their round, but I can only think about how close me and Val came to eachother, I keep stealing glances at her, hoping, praying, she doesn’t notice. O* ._. *O After saying my final goodbyes to all the fans on stage I go backstage to change to more comfortable clothes and greet the fans that paid more for sendoff. After I get out of the changing room I come across Val. But why is she here tho? Shouldn’t she be home already. “Why are you here, should’t you be home already or something?” “nah, I thought I’d wait till you were done, maybe sleep over or smth. or else you’ll be so lonely” she teases while poking my chest. “oh come on,” I say “you really shouldn’t wait, it’ll probably take pretty long” “you know me Lynx, I don’t care about that” she says. “You know, so you aren’t lonely while I’m at sendoff. Why don’t you come with me?” I say. “They love you and are already familiar with you from my vlogs” “Not more than I love you” she mumbles. “huh? What’d you say?” “Oh nothing, just that I’m glad to come with you!” she smiles awkwardly before gesturing for me to go first. We move out to the waiting fans after I gave her a spare shirt to match with me, I can already hear some fans saying something along the lines of “is that Val? Omg it is Val!!” just by hearing her voice and double the footsteps “Okay,” I say to her “they’ll probably ask some questions or ask for a photo/video. Don’t worry and be yourself.” Val quietly laughs, damn she’s so cute when she laughs “Man, you should stop worringing” she whispers while elbowing me. I smile and walk out with her. One fan aked if she could have me do the chanel trend with her “really? Well, I guess I’m not allowed to say no huh?” I teased them, I love teasing fans. I invited Val and she gladly danced too, after filming tiktoks and taking photos with fans. It was time to go home, so we said our final goodbyes and went backstage again. I suddenly thought about the pepero game again and dicided to apologise to her. “Val,” I said “yeah?” she asked back “listen I’m sorry about the pepero game, I went a bit to... fast. I wasn’t thinking. And listen, ever since a few moths after we met, I started to… admire you more. And I don’t know I just-” She cuts me off “Gosh just get to the point lynx” she says half teasing half curious. “Gad damn it, I like you okay, and I know you’re straight so I’ll just, forget this shit or something” “straight? When did I say that again?” “I don’t know, like a few weeks after we met I guess..” “And tell me, lynx. How long ago was that?” “uhm, about a year or two-” before I can finish my sentence she leans in closer, smiks, and askes “wanna do the game again?” “you mean the pepero game?” I ask back. “of course silly” she sings to me to put it between my teeth, and so I do. she comes closer and closer and wait what?! She’s coming closer to my face, changing the tempo, making me wait, desperately. Until I can’t take it anymore and press my lips on hers.Writers note: Yes, I will stop it here cause I don’t know how to write a kiss scene and also have never kissed someone so I don’t know how it works.
